For my part, I speak photo rather of development. As well for the argentique that for numerical, the photo at the exit of the apparatus (negative or raw) requires to be put in value to give all its potential.
It is sure, some compact apparatus make it automatically and boost neatness or contrasts, what is not the case of r flex.
Therefore the part development, I do not consider it so much to be a modification (roughly all that it is possible to make with Lightroom or Aperture).
Where this becomes of the modification, it is the rubbing-out of an electrical post that spoils the landscape, the emphasis of the fuzziness of objective on a portrait, the modification of selective colour, the inlaying of new elements in the picture etc )
100 % in agreement with you Raphael and Stephan!
When I was at the school and what I had courts of photo, we were learnt to make of the post treatment under the enlarger! And the same front this, in the development of the film to force contrasts, to clarify the film when they knew that she was under displaying. I was even learnt to make a sky darker, to add him clouds!
Good morning Raphael:)
Sometimes the border between the post treatment and the modification is narrow I share your opinion, the modification begins in abolition or addition of elements
